Here is a fun way to make your own ice cream. My kids and I made it this summer. I don’t enjoy ice cream as much as the rest of my Ohana, family, unless there is more nutritional value to it. That’s why this recipe is so wonderful: you can customize it to make it as healthy or unhealthy as you want! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Add ingredients to Mason Jar (except crunchy toppings). Now here’s your little core & arm workout: SHAKE IT FAST for 4-5 minutes!
Tight core while you shake 🙂 My kids loved to take turns shaking it. Check the consistency, it should be opaque when done, covers a wooden spoon, not runny.
Freeze appx. 3 hours. Let sit on counter for 5 minutes before serving so it’s creamy. Having just moved into our newly remodeled home, we have a new refrigerator (yay!) so it was really frozen! Top with your crunchy treats: nuts, coconut flakes and enjoy!
